Materials

The different parts of our bearings are made of steel, copper- or aluminium compounds, different according to the dimension and the specific use of the bearing. For the classification of the applied materials we refer to the DIN tables.

  1. Outer rings
    • Through hardened steel:
      • DIN 100Cr6, ISO: 1.3505;
      • DIN 100CrMo7, ISO 1.3537.
      These steels are subject to the following heat treatments:
      • Normal hardness or bainitic hardness
      • Normalizing
      On request or when required for the application, we can also provide the dimensionally stabilized steel execution with different temperatures(S0, S0B, S1, S2, S3, S4).
    • Case hardening steel:
      • DIN 20MnCr5, ISO 1.7147;
      • DIN 20MoCr4, ISO 1.7321;
      • DIN 16NiCr4, ISO 1.5714;
      • DIN 20MnCr5, ISO 1.7147;
      • EN 17NiCrMo6-4, UNI 18NiCrMo5, ISO 1.6566.
      These steels are subject to the following heat treatments:
      • Cementation
      • Hardness
      • Normalizing

  2. Inner rings
    • Through hardened steel:
      • DIN 100Cr6, ISO: 1.3505;
      • DIN 100CrMo7, ISO 1.3537.
      These steels are subject to the following heat treatments:
      • Normal hardness or bainitic hardness
      • Normalizing

  3. Cages
    Copper compounds or aluminium compounds of high resistance are applied.
    • Copper compound (brass): P-CuZn32Mn3Al2FeNi
    • Aluminium compound: G-AlZn10SiMgTi
    In special cases we choose specific materials like soft steel or fabric reinforced phenolic resin.
    All cages, except non metallic materials or copper compounds, can be heat treated with special hardness, polishing or phosphatising.
     
  4. Ball and Rollers
    Through hardened steel:
    • DIN 100Cr6, ISO: 1.3505;
    • DIN 100CrMo7, ISO 1.3537.
